I was thinking about this last night. What is the advantage to growing the plants upside down? It's fun, but is there any advantage to growing from the bottom of a pot as opposed to growing it from the top side?
I've grown tomatoes and peppers in hanging baskets before. With a large tomato plant, there is a tendency for the weight of the plant to tip the pot sideways as it gets bigger and heavier. So, there is a slight advantage to growing a potted tomato upside down, but is there something else I'm missing? Or is it just fun? Cause, you know, fun is good, too.
