Using Coffee Grounds?

Has anybody ever tried incorporating coffee grounds into their growing technique? Does it help or hurt?

They are high in nitrogen, so be careful...

I have thown 100s of pounds of grounds collected from my local Starbucks into my compost pile and directly into my soil. Mixed with shredded newspaper, it can really get a compost pile cooking. Once I found out used grounds are generally ph neutral, I just started going nuts with the stuff. There's a good FAQ about coffee grounds here.
