I am horrible about keeping up with a glog, so this will be my usual lazy approach to gardening and showcase a few pics along the way.

Foxfarm ocean forest, Alaskan fish fertilizer, a little bone meal and a little blood meal at plantout.

Raised beds each have been dressed with eggshells saved for a yr, coffee grounds saved for 4 months, composted steer manure and mushroom compost, and 2 gals each box of wood ash.

temps has returned here in NE...or rather left briefly only to make a U turn.

The Cumari had a bug/mite issue and is still trying to get her groove on.

I think I'm going to top it this morning as it is pretty damaged that new growth above the fork.

91 yesterday. Today 40s this morning, high will be 70s.

I got really lucky this yr on early plantout, should only get better from here on out.

I saw your weather last week. Still some crazy late winter effects out east.

Things look great at your place Masher! It must be nice to simply step out into your yard during this recent sunny weather and see your beds already green and planted. It's been a good start to the season weather-wise here on the west side too, but a warmer/drier vs. cooler/wetter June will really make the difference. Do I remember right that you're in the Methow area? If so, then you probably don't have to worry so much about June gloom and such.

My weather is your weather.... I'm done south about 3hr drive.

Been really lucky so far, but my indoor setup and last years green house addition is the real reason everything is booming.

I'm prepared to tarp the beds if we get some real crap weather in the coming weeks, but I doubt I'll have to.

Pic update, Alaskan fish fert and some liquid nitrogen applied lightly since it rained most of the morning.

Reapers right and left, Fatalli centered, giant basil each end.
Sunflowers and Zinnias throughout.

Napa cabbage, couple tomatoes, multiple cukes for trellis.
Zinnias, garlic far right.

4 beds this yr. One rotted out last season, so next season I'll add 2 more. Plus I have to rebuild the one with the netting on it. It's barely holding together.

I do have the boxes crammed full right now but space will open up once broccoli, garlics, cabbages, lettuces are harvested.

Those are Guindilla.

PaulG went to Spain last yr and posted about these pickled peppers are included in almost everything from street vendors.

I found seed online and added them to my grow this yr.

I plan on pickling them. I ate one last week. It had no heat, not a lot of seeds.

Do you grow the sunflowers for the seeds, for the colors, for the sport; OR do they have some super influence on peppers that I need to know about?

I grow them for the looks, but they attract tons of honey bees, and I harvest the seeds and bake them after soaking in a salt brine.
