Venti-pot vs Air-pot

Well the season is about over, so here is a picture of two rootballs growing in a air pruning pots:

In the left is a rootball of a Fatalii plant growing in a 9,5 litre Venti-pot and in the right a Caramel bhut jolokia plant growing in a 10 litre Air-pot.
 
Growing medium is a coco coir.  It seems, that the plant growing in the Air-pot produced more thicker rootball, than the plant growing in the Venti-pot.
 
How was the production of pods, one vs the other? ( I know two different plants, your opinion.) What was the cost one vs the other etc.

I think the air-pot plants produced the most pods and where little bigger, than the plants growing in the Venti-pots.
 
10 litre air-pot: 9 euros.
 
9,5 litre Venti-pot cost: 4 euros.
 
As you can see the air-pot is over 2x more costly, than the similar sized Venti-pot. You can get much larger venti-pot about 12-15 litres with the same cost, that the 10 litre air-pot will cost you.
 
All of the plant growing in both pots where very healthy, so it really come down to, how much are you willing to pay.
 
But i still give the edge to the air-pot, because they are much harder to overwater, than the Venti-pot.

If you are after as much as roots as possible in a relatively small containment, these airpruning pots are the way to go.
 
I have been thinking about experimenting with a few air pots next year. Does anyone from the US have recommendations on where to order from?

No. I have not tried them out and i dont have any use for them for now, as these pots works just fine.
 
Awesome man....I use my homemade air prune pots and recently took out two plants to make bonchi with them and my root balls were pretty much the same as your air pot .....air prune pots are the shizzy...;)

Thanks man. Air-pots are also very good option for those, who tend to overwater their plants.
 
I purchased 6 Air-Pots but too late for this season, using 2 for overwintering my best 2 plants and looking forward to using all of them next season. I would like to point out that they make 2 sizes that are specially "tuned" for peppers...

Don't forget about RootMaker, their founder has a Ph.D. in this stuff and I have learned a ton from his short scientific articles (be sure to at least check out the 4 inch rule).
 
Also, they have some very cool propogation/seedling pots that can be purchased here for 77 cents each. I can't wait to try these out. My plan is to start in these and then pot up to the 3.8 gallon Air-Pots, this will meet the 4 inch rule quite well with just two pots.
 
I used 5 of these Emsco Patio Pickers this season to prevent my proclivity for overwatering and they worked out amazingly well (but no air pruning). Even being a 1st time grower I was able to grow 6 large pepper plants in each one of these, and am reaping huge quantities.
