This is the one and only reaper pod that has developed on my plants this year. From the condition, it looks like it will be the last one as well. Between the four months of record rain that turned into two months without a drop, washed out and moldy soil, then an (ongoing) aphid infestation AND a plague of giant tomato hornworms, much of my little container garden hasn't done well.
