wanted wanted some rare peppers species

I'm no longer looking for wild pepper species, as I have found most of the wild ones I wanted. Do to illness I have decided to grow some of the more well known varieties and test how well I can take the heat.
So if anything I will be looking for and growing some of the super hots, I already have grown a few Bhuts and will add more to my list as time goes by.

Sept 16 2012 looking forward to 2013
Well made it through another month, Boy was it hot and Humid this summer reminded me of Florida, We having a really bad bug year and they are just now starting to slacking off.
My favorite Tomatoes and beans were a bust and spring peas didn't stand a chance one picking and they were done.
On the other Hand my sweet and Hot peppers produced well and are still doing well despite a new pest that hit them, the pepper maggot which was a new one for me, this years weather was a perfect storm for them.
I was afraid that my Bhuts and Brown habs would not do anything as I got a late start on them but they are producing pods like crazy now that its cooler and wetter .
Yes the hot humid weather is over along with the drought and we are only 9.6 inches behind for the year, will
we catch up before the new year? I don't see it happening.
I had a good water pump and a few odds and ends that were worth a few pennies that were just setting a round so I decided to trade them off for a few seeds and some pods, mainly it was a give away as the Postage on the Flat rate was a bit high $11.35 for each package which I paid and the traded goods were worth near $60 to 100.00 Bucks. Sweet deal for them and just as sweet for me.
Well thats it for now.

2013 February update
Got some seeds of some super hots via Chris who is a long time trading friend and 3/5King also known as David the fresh pods were really great and very Hot, Pepper friends are the greatest. From the seeds will arise new plants for a New Year . I have a few plans and a big experiment that will be very interesting to see just how well it will turn out, I will be putting some of my Horticulture and Botany studies to some use. At 60 I find that I'm still learning new things when it comes to growing hot pepper species, I find that every time I grow a pepper I learn a Little more about them it is indeed a fun and rewarding hobby at times.

Good luck, just a quick google search on what you are looking for makes it seem like a world away but you never know with forum members, perhaps with more central american members, you will see the varieties you are seeking.

Hey George. :) I run into you everywhere. Nice to see you made it here. If there's peppers, I'm usually there. lol.

Chris

Hi Chris, I see that you too are looking around, Been doing some thinking about what to grow next year. I may be moving in a few months if I can get an apartment at this one place in the town next to this one it will put me closer to my Main garden.
I've been thinking about buying some seeds from Jungle rain as he pretty much has all the peppers that I have to trade which isn't much He has quite a list. Did you have good luck growing C. buforum? and does it have hot pods or just little berries? How is your garden doing this year? I imagine that you have photo's up at your site. The plant that I thought was C.galapagoenes my be a Tovarii but I'm not sure, it may even be a way ward seed that got wash into my seed tray, I'm hoping that this is not the case and its a tovarii anyway I will know in a couple of months. Have you seen Jungle Rain's seed list? To bad he doesn't have photos I would sure like to see some of them. I'll have to see if J.F. has posted any new photos. My brother and his son has been asking when my Bhut jolokias will be ready to pick, I'm hoping he will leave enough for me to make my killer pepper powder that I use all winter. Well Buddy keep in touch and let me know how things are going.
George
