Warning: From the National Weather Service... FROST ADVISORY

94 today,
Gonna have to stop wearing a T shirt and shorts when I walk my rounds all night....in a month or so.
By Christmas anyway.
Depends,a few years ago it was in the 90's on Christmas day.

4-6 weeks of winter each year sucks. LOL

Now grasshoppers this year are another thing.
Dam grasshoppers are chewing the stems of all my pods and leaves.
My plants are sticks topside with all new growth below.
Lots of sun burned pods.

I'm thinking I'll start sprouting my seeds in July/Aug. from now on.
Get a fall/winter crop (Annuums)and a spring crop(Baccatums+Chinense).
Screw the hot summers.Bugs, mites etc. aren't a problem in our feezing cold fall-spring weather.

Summers are just too hot here for bud set etc.
Besides, watering my pots cuts into fishing time among other things.

I just started sprouting seeds last week.

Going to be wanting to find new homes for a few plants soon.
I hate tossing them in the dumpster.

Are there any varieties that can handle your summer heat without dropping flowers?

Here in my neck of the woods we haven't had another frost advisory since, but tonight is chilly at 45° F / 7.2° C. I spent part of the afternoon pruning and prepping plants for overwintering...
