was given interesting siling labuyo pods......

these pods were given to me by siling_labuyo, a fellow filipino member here.

does this look like a tabasco pepper to you?

it's over 2 inches long and about 1/3 of an inch thick around. opened it up to harvest seeds it had tons of seeds, pungent, hotter than our regular hybrid labuyos, a pleasant tasting pod. these were pods that were found that siling_labuyo at a market somewhere in 'old manila'.

a creamy white, a couple orange ones. and a red ripe one. drying seeds now and gonna grow them out. going to isolate these plants away from the rest of the peppers i'm growing. this must be either a tabasco pepper or what siling_labuyo mentioned as the white labuyo that used to grow wild here at the south of the metro.

if these grow true the next generation, i'll be giving out seeds to everyone who wants them. =D

Difficult to see them in the bag, but they don't look like Tabasco and are too large for the pods I remember, but a new tasty pepper is always a good discovery. :)
