Weirdest thing happened

I put out some rat glue traps last night, and this morning one of the traps is gone with no trace of it in the yard???

The thing must be huge.

The heat is in the pepper not the plant. I have had mice eat my plants before.

I don't think rats will eat ripe/picante chiles. All mammals react negatively to capsaicin and avoid them.

They were 2-3 inch tall seedlings that were eaten, not ripe peppers.
