what are these purple patches on my chilli plants????

i found these today and i have no idea what it could be.. the chillis on this plant seem to be growing rather differently to the rest of my habs and are taking a very long time to ripen.... can anyone tell me what this is???

Nothing to worry about, it's very common.

Something to do with a build up of a certain nutrient like phos or something but I can't remember.

its anthocyanin and its harmless.

think of it as suntan for chili plants.
