1. Upload your image to a web site (the image needs to be able to be viewed over the web).  Popular choices are photobucket, flickr, imgur, dropbox.
 
2. In your post, click on the image insertion icon:

 
3. Past the URL (URL only, no HTML, bbcode tags, etc.) of the image in the resulting dialog and click OK:
