What fresh Peppers Would You Like To See Available?

What fresh peppers would you like to see available for purchase? I personally would like to see more hot to very hot varieties, as well as some milds, but are there any specific types you would purchase if they became available?

Maybe the local grocery stores would get better sales by picking a dozen or so varieties of hot peppers and letting customers vote for the top four or five to add. Get people talking about hot peppers and reading about them and thinking about what they would use them for - educate them - and then let them buy. I missed my chance to try chocolate ghost peppers because I thought they were just red ones than were over-ripe. They were in a plastic box and I figured that they must be mush about to lose their shape entirely. Once people got to know and like ghost peppers, the local grocery couldn't keep them on the shelves.

Not a bad idea when it comes to grocery stores. What I was asking had more to do with some members including myself trying to figure what most chiliheads would be willing to purchase. I want to offer peppers on several fronts including here, and don't want to waste space on varieties no one is willing to pay for. I am sure some of the others selling fresh peppers feel the same. Ghosts are always a big hit like Reapers, but perhaps people would like other types in quantity that they have not been able to get. For example I really wanted to get both Sukari and Paper Lantern Habaneros in quantity, but I could not do so, because no one has more than a couple at a time. As well, Aleppos are another I wanted to find in bulk.

I've been adding some of the smaller sweet and milds, the type of thing that folk might include whole on a salad or snack.  The more curvy and colorful the better.  Trinidad sweet and perfume already up and growing.  Looking to get a handle on those baby bells folk gobble up at the grocery store.

Thanks for the feedback, that is what I am looking for.

Yeah, I'm looking to do a lot of sweets and milds as well. Cant go wrong with those. Thanks for the reply.

I think "Joes Long Cayenne "could be big hit if the people tasted it.
Everyone loves  Cayennes but the normal ones are quite boring. The taste of "Joes" is so much better, and it is perfect for roasting.

I would really love to buy them anywhere (sadly im not in the us, and couldnt buy them even if you would sell them :-/).

Many people also like "Scotch Bonnets" more than Habaneros (me too), but they are harder to find. But i guess you already included them in your sales.

Before any pepper can be available, it needs to be popular.  Given that Joe Sixpack knows maybe half a dozen varieties, you're gonna have to pick varieties that will make a positive impression.  Once  you get Joe buying Aji Amarillo, Crystal, etc. for his salsa, or one of the better Cayennes for cooking, demand for more exotics just might follow.

For now, I'd settle on
A big, mild Turkish region pepper.  Something that will make people look and say, "Wow, that's a neat pepper!"
Gotta have a few baccatum.  Braz Starfish for the kids, Angelo, Amarillo, etc. for salsa, cooking, etc.
Perhaps a few Haba varieties - chocoloate is popular among those I've shared with.
For super hot, most folks like a good Fatalii.  I'd buy those just for cooking, if available.
The meanest looking, hottest thing you can find - for the Testosterone Overdosed crowd. ;)

My favorite pepper is the Primo and I think this is the next pepper to become more famous. It is hotter tasting and much better tasting.
Yellow Fataliis have been around for centuries in SA and I get orders every month for full boxes that I can't fil. Mortaliis may not be known yet, but may be the next great thing because they truly are improved Fataliis.
I'll tell you in about 7 weeks for sure, but I have a deep down feeling that Aji Jobito may be the next great thing for non hot uses, which is really more widespread than hot pepper use. Things you need to worry about when you are doing it for a living is price and competition. My Jobitos will be 8 months old before I pick my first pepper, where I am normally picking after 4 months. So how many people in the US that grow peppers for a living have a season that would allow them to grow a crop that doesn't even start until they have grown the plant for 8+ months?

I have a box of fresh raw meaty Peter peppers just for you. :P      The other you only have to prepay 10 boxes and will be available soon*

Cycad, on 7 Pot Primo: I am not generally a fan of the 7 pot taste but the Primo doesn't seem to have that distinct 7 pot flavor like most.  So I'd go with it is one of my favorite 7 Pots.

What is the Mortalii?
A Mortalii is a Fatalii that someone on this forum grew. It is improved. I got some in an auction here last year. They are a little longer and larger. They were not as hot and had a slightly stronger yellow citrus taste.
A Primo doesn't taste like the other 7 pots to me either. Isn't it a hybrid anyway?
