What I did with Spicy Chicken's powder

I decided to make a super jumbo batch of snack mix. I mixed his two powders (hab and super chili) along with cayenne, seasoned salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Here are the pics:

You WILL be bringing a garbage bag of that stuff when you come to Texas right? We'll go to teh liquor sto' and won't even have to cook. We'll just pour that stuff into the trough!

Thats one way to keep the coworkers grubby mits outa your snack bowl, unless they are chiliheads too......

Yeah there were nuts, you can see them in the final pic, but I forgot to take a pic of them on the sheet tray. Some chex mix too. No I only used a couple of ounces of each on the seasoning. Along with the other ingredients it took about 4-5ounces. Maybe 1 ounce of each pepper powder.

That looks amazing! Makes me want to get a bag of Chex Mix from the vending machine & pour in some hab powder that I keep @ work!

The key to this was spraying both the pan and the ingredients with PAM before applying the seasoning, then mixing it up and baking it at 250F so it adheres properly.

Just found this post today! need to get around more.

Nicely done JT! that chex mix is especially mouth watering. going to try mixing up a batch tomorrow, if you run out let me know, can't seem to sell much :( so I midas well give it away! I can't eat 200 lbs of it! :scared:

I have my mother's old (50+years) recipie for chex mix and it uses no mamby pamby pam, but BACON GREASE. I'm gonna make it one of the days with some added powders.
