chinense What I learned about scorpions

I had a yellow morgua scorpion finally ripen up.  Since graduating from eating Datil's and Bonnets I figured I gotta give this one a try.  I mean it was so pretty and all.

Well, I learned I could never make a "tasteful" video of trying hot peppers like some of the pro's do.  I mean I literally had snot running from my nose that wouldn't stop and I was beginning to wonder if my taste buds would ever function properly any more.  Wow!  Quite a jump from Datil's and Bonnets to this one.  And to think, I have a Jay's Chocolate Ghost Scorpion X with fruit on it and a Ghost Pepper to try eventually. :onfire:

 SRY , been there myself

Now your tolerance will be a little higher. yay. It will get there in time and it does take some time to develop a high tolerance like those people who eat superhots and keep their composure.

Never say never. Your tolerance will build if you keep eating very hot peppers like that.  :)

What did you think of the flavor? The Yellow Moruga is one of the best-tasting hot peppers IMO.

You should try a red Scorpion, when you feel ready. I think you will find that the Red Moruga is another jump up the heat scale.   :hell:

Congrats on the learning process.
I've had similar on a few occasions, my wife likes to recount a time when my brother and I were "crying" while continuing to eat pizza dipped in Dave's Insanity sauce.

If you do want to increase your tolerance without just chomping raw pods, I would recommend try out pepper powders.
I put ghost pepper powder on at least one meal a day and I think my tolerance has increased significantly as a result.

I liked the flavor.  I have been making sauces with the Datil's and Bonnets and I think the scorpion's will make a good one also.
It just won't need as many peppers!  :P

I have noticed that the sauces I have made were pretty doggone hot when I first started using them but like you, we (my wife and I) use the sauces everyday at least one meal.  Now they don't seem as hot.

I did make another batch today and added more peppers and it has kicked it up another notch!

Still don't know if I'll be ready for the Ghost's or the Chocolate crosses!

I haven't tried all that many hot hot peppers yet but I can say that scorpions are hot enough to induce a painful goodbye!
