health what is wrong with my pepper pods?

My pusa jwala plants are cranking out the fruit like gang busters, but this last week was BRIGHT and about 90 degrees.

A few of my fruits have a shiny black patch on them.

Not a "SPOT" or the soft sunscald, just black. I think I have seen this on a few bells in the past. The fruits in question seem fine otherwise.

Any ideas?

The camera took a dump so picts will have to wait.

Thank you

Kat

hard to till wihtout pic but if they are in dirct sun and 90F it is too hot try to move them to shade and dont let them dry

I'd say your pods have a suntan. :D It happens to some of my pods and even stems, but I'd describe the color on mine as dark purple.

Happens alot they will change its like a sunburn -- they are ok. My piquans did that quite a bit its their protection from the sun

Some varieties do this as they ripen. But, pictures will help when your camera is back in working mode.

thanks

I think that's what it is, a suntan.
they have no signs of a disease, just the black/purple.

Thanks again.
