If the soil and water is too alkaline, how can I prevent this in the future except from using distilled or ph'd water? Maybe put some extra peat moss in the soil mix?
My water runs between 6 and 8, depending on when it is checked.
I use the "PH Perfect" line from Advanced Nutrients (Sensei Grow and Bloom) in both my hydro and dirt.
Every other watering for the dirt peppers in pots unless I notice signs of over fert, then just water for a while.
As they are over a year old in small pots, they are basically "hydro-in-dirt" as they are completely rootbound, but even as seedlings I have done them all the same.
