pests What kind of bug is this?

I found this little thing hanging off a shoot. I couldn't take a picture, so I drew one, but it's not to scale, lol! It was a little less than 1 mm long. At first, I thought it was piece of dirt but then it started crawling with tiny little legs. It had a tiny little head, no wings that I could see. I have my plants indoors, downstairs. Any guesses? I Couldn't find anything that looked like it with some google searches.

Did it look something like one of these?

If so, then it's a lady bug larva, and that's good. They eat bad bugs.

Ladybugs are so so at getting rid of Aphids but the larva are absolutely incredible. I thought I was never going to get rid of my infestation until they hatched.

Yeah, despite the stunning Microsoft "PAINT" work there, I am still not quite able to identify the little bugger. Is that a cocoon or a bug?

Ha, yeah, I'm no artist with the mouse. I killed it before I drew it, but it was definitely a bug, possibly a larvae of some kind. I tried to pick it off with tweezers, but it fell into the hydroton. It then crawled back up and I took the hydroton ball it was on into the bathroom and examined it a bit before flushing it. Like I said before, it was tiny. Kind of like that second ladybug larva picture Pam posted, only smaller and greyish, no bright colors. It was just chillin' on a stem near the bottom of the plant.
Thanks for the link, gardenkiller, but I almost fell asleep searching the pics; there's so many! I didn't get through it yet...

Didnt your mom ever teach you, if you cant say something nice dont say anything at all?

ryannmark, if you're in the US, you can take bugs down to your local Extension Office, or call and find out how to get in touch with the local Master Gardeners. They can ID the bug for you. Just put it in a jar with a little alcohol or vodka to preserve it.
