What pepper has the most delayed burn?

In your opinion what pepper tends to have the most delayed burn?

This is a good question, I am also curious. Not sure I have ever had a pepper that was delayed in feeling any heat, but I have had some that reach peak heat a bit later. It is fun when you are already dying and thinking "this f***ing thing is never going to stop getting hotter!"

My experiences are not deep enough for me to offer a definitive answer but, for me, the creepiest creeper has been the JPGS.

Carolina Reaper. I typically have it entirely chewed up and swallowed before the heat kicks in.

Reaper is a creaper. Reaper strawberry jam has punked most of my friends and family. Between 30 seconds to a minute in you see that incredulous fear in their eyes, after after spending the first 20 seconds or so talking about how good it tastes and isn't that hot.

Thanks and yeah Ive found reapers and or crosses with reapers to be real creepers, I just tried a naga morich x reaper and yeah I could chew the whole thing up and swallow it before it started to choke me out , Ive got a jpgsxreaper cross which Im really looking forward to for the creeping heat. Its perfect for sauces, gotta get my friends to like the superhots somehow.

Also Ive found brainstrain and apocalypse reds to have like the wave effect when you think its gone but its definitely not.

Creeper qualities in peppers needs to be studied and bred into many more. It gives you time to appreciate straight flavor before it starts kicking your ass.

DO NOT underestimate reapers crossed with JPGS! It may be a peach pod but....well...you'll see.
