There's a low-mid-height shrub called Alpen Currant that grows in virtually anything. You can take a 3 inch cutting, stick it in dirt and keep it moist for two or three weeks and viola! New bush!

I've heard that willow trees will do that too....

I was thinking of sinking a drop or two of CNS17 into the jar, maybe mist some Cal-Mag, but I'm afraid of a negative effect when those nutes trigger the greenhouse reaction in the jar....
