What To Do With Unripe Pods On Plants? Temperatures Dropping

I've thought about it, has anyone tried it and what was the outcome?

I regularly make a pineapple banana sauce. I think its great.

And finally the one I could not identify from the pile of plants I rescued it from.  No signs of life, but I feel that it is sowing its roots still.  They are all in an east facing window and it is cool where they are, so also in a slight dormancy I would like to believe.
