What type of pepper are these 2?

I was given 2 pepper plants that already have some growing on them. One of them when they're mature turn red, they are long and skinny. The other one I don't know about.

First plant:
about 2-3 feet tall, big leaves.

Second plant:
same height, same leaves, but the peppers right now are round and short instead of skinny and long

thanks!

Well first, Welcome to THP!

It will be easier to ID those peppers when they are ripe, or at least more mature. The first has a cayenne look to it, and the second is too hard to tell. a overall plant photo will help as well. Maybe someone else has a better idea?

Thanks for the quick reply!

The guy who gave me them said he thinks one of them is a habanero and doesn't know about the other one.

Here are some pics of the full plants

I dunno about the first one. Kinda looks like a mutant cayenne. 2nd one looks kinda like a 7 pot/pod. Look almost like my Yellow 7's. It will be easier to tell once they are bigger, and definately ripe. Any way we can see a pic from the side? Might help a little.
And welcome to the forum!!

Now that I think about it, might even be a Bih.

Not even close really, I grow Bih's and the calyx does not cup the fruit (like in cayenne or other elongated Annuums)

Here is what a Bih looks like.

Some mature unripe fruits, notice two or more per node

Most pods appear like this (cone shaped)

Immature pods that just set like this

Even the skinny pods (same plant) that appear cayenne like do not have a calyx that cups the fruit

Bottom line, his pepper is some kind of cayenne like pepper, probably Annuum maybe Frutescens.

As for the Habanero one, too early to tell... Looks like some lime green immature type pod with maybe early wrinkling developing? Should be interesting.
