I have a couple grand coming and ma says I can spend a few hundred on a new toy for cooking. (I love to cook)




What would you recommend I get?
 
I use my rice cooked almost everyday and not for cooking rice, its very versatile, love it. Blender is the number one I use and with today's crap once this goes I will invest in a high end one (Blendtech/Vitamix).

Interesting. I have both and never use the rice cooker and only use the blender for hotsauces and daiquiris.
 
Do inventory think of upcoming cooks a make determination on those factors. Don't buy something just to have it make sure it's something your going to be using regularly. :) I just got a foodsaver I use that thing all the time.

My smoker for fish and peppers is an electric Big Chief smoker by Luhr Jensen. I've had it for 20 years and have smoked hundreds and hundreds of pounds of salmon with it over the years. I don't fish much these days but it works great on my peppers before dehydrating them.
