What's up with the Cotyledon?

Is this Bhut Jolokia seedling missing it's cotyledon leaves or are they just malformed?

Looks like the leaf tips are burned. You take it off of baby food a little too soon?

I did nothing different, all the other seedlings are fine.

Well not all seeds are perfect and some need to be culled. It looks like the true leaves have started forming so just let it go awhile and see what happens.

That's what I had planned, worst that can happen is it'll die.

I wouldn't give up on it yet. It may develop into your best plant.

I had a couple seedlings like that but once the true leaves came in, took a little longer, the plants sprang to life.

I had a seedling come up with a single large cotelydon, and the true leaves are just starting to come ine. I decided to keep it just to see how it would grow.
