Surgeon prescribed wheel chair weeks ago. You'd think it is a rather easy process but Medicare makes it next to impossible. Believe it or not, bidding is involved. So was complaining about it on Facebook and friends started coming forward and offering to gift them. Should be able to leave the house this weekend. The one that looks most promising doesnt have the grips on the handles for people to push, so my kids are picking out handles from the bicycle section of Walmart. No doubt they will be sparkly and have streamers. So started thinking about other modifications.
I deal with adversity threw humor. Want to encourage that in others. Got friends involved in the Louisville Hacker Space where they make and build just about anything. Thinking maybe it would be cool to start a thing where we make fun modifications for wheel chairs. Thinking of name for such a project.
