When I was a NOOB, I thought...

I thought the strange peppers that sprung up between my habaneros and red bell peppers were some sort of weird hybrid that was a result of planting the two too close together......

There's probably evidence of this somewhere on here....but I'm too lazy to go find it! ;)

... that it would be fine to put my contacts in after chopping peppers since I had taken a shower. Ouch!

... that boiling a full batch of superhots in a small, confined, unventilated kitchen would be no big deal because I would do it quickly.

... that I was smart to have milk on hand when trying my first superhot; just not smart enough to check the expiration date first.

I always saw people starting their seeds in tiny containers and gradually moving up their pot size (peat pellet, solo cup, 1 gal etc.) I figured that was a waste of time, and I would just put my precious seedling straight into the five gallon and show these "experienced gardeners" a thing or two....R.I.P. little seedlings

When I was a noob I bought these not Caribbean reds form the local grocery store.
I gave them a fertilizer that was too high in nitrogen and they grew funky.
I then ow them and when next spring came decided to throw them out and start over not knowing I could just top them.
I think they was just a regular habanero but they may of been crossed with some other hab as they seemed hotter then a normal one.

I did the research to grow ultra hots and thought the hotter the pepper, the harder and longer to germinate.  If using the same methods its a true statement but I've found it inaccurate mostly.  Under the correct conditions, Chiltepins take 4 days, the current Reapers sprouted after just 7 days, we'll see how they mature...

Germination times are relative to all conditions, variables and combinations thereof. heat, moisture, pH of media, quality of seed including age, care of storage, proper drying etc, type of pepper and random chance. some peppers are just plane stubborn. I can link to a thread where a particular wild pepper seed took over 300 days. You will find most posted germ times and rates are an average to be expected but not carved in stone.

My bbgun sucks so bad I still haven't figured out which way it's going to shoot. Came with a detached scope but the iron sites where so far off I just F it and don't even bother aiming just point and pull.

When I first started getting into peppers and looking at vendors I almost ordered form pepper Joe but something just did not feel right kinda felt like a used car salesmen act .
So I never did and got seeds /plants form local places and kept looking then I stumbled on to THP and began research.

....that this was a lot of peppers
