When should I transplant and harden off my plants?

I live by Dallas in zone 8A. My last frost is March 18th but mornings are in the 40s. I am thinking I should transplant around March 30th. Any advice?
 
Are you transplanting into pots or the ground? My last frost date is 4-1 and I begin setting them out about a week before that, just to get them ready. I keep an eye on the extended forecast around my last frost date and when I see 10 days of acceptible nighttime temps they go out to their pots or in the ground.
 
So, id say start hardening them off now. When your nighttime temps are consistently 50+, out they go! They can handle 45 but thats cutting it a little too close for my liking.
 
This will be my first year using a greenhouse. Any thoughts on when I can get away with bringing them out of the basement and into the greenhouse? Our days are mid to upper 50's and nights are mid 30's right now.

If you don't already, put a fan on a timer and set it to blow low wind on them for like 15 minutes every 2 hours or so.  This will help with transplant shock.
 
When I harden off (usually around 5/15 or so) I will take the plants out onto the patio close to the house in the morning around 9am and then bring them back inside when I get home after dinner around 6 or 7pm.
 
Our back yard faces east, so they get full sun in the morning till shortly after noon when the sun goes behind the house.  About a week of this and then they go into the ground in our raised beds.
