chinense White Scorpion ???

Has anyone seen, heard of, or know anything about a white scorpion?  There is a thread from years ago where a member said he grew them by mistake.  A white version just popped up with the red.  But that was years ago and he still only has 10 posts.  Cant figure he is around anymore.

Even a link to a seed catalog would help a guy out.

Dale TGCM gave me a couple of Judy's Peach scorpion pods and they were a really light almost creamy white. His glog probably has some pics.

Yeah and it's from someone I'm a bit skeptical of.
Christopher Phillips?  I can honestly say I have never heard a negative thing about him. Does he selling on his own or just via Puckerbutt?  I can not do Puckerbutt because I am a commercial grower and they say no commercial use.  I know, people ignore it but it seems wrong.

I did find this image at THP but it is dated and the user seems to have moved on.

I cannot speak for Cruzzman but I know for me, personally, I am skeptical about Puckerbutt. Nothing to do with Chris Philips but if I wander onto a Puckerbutt page, I click "back" on my browser Immediately. In the case of Hot Pepper's link to the elusive White Scorpion above, I paused to say "ha-ha, of COURSE no pic," and THEN I clicked back on my browser.

Some things just give me the willies, and Puckerbutt has a lot of creepy vibrations going on.. Not the least of which is the "no commercial growers" nonsense.

Bicycle808 - The no commercial use thing does seem odd since it is a food crop.  But if you read the side of the packing on a rose bush, you might find much the same.  Then there are the Monsanto types that draw the line at seed saving.  I think it is all just different marketing approaches.  Not saying I understand the logic behind it.

On getting the willies, not sure Mr. Currie gives me the willies but the things he says definitely do.  Just read about something being grown in something like 'Secret California Farm Number 6'.  I think I remember an interview with him where he talked about his secret gardens and how cut throat the business is.  All that talk gives the impression that there are secret pepper ninja out in my fields and I better string some booby traps or something.  I am entirely too busy with deer concern to worry about pepper ninja.

OK, seriously.  Every year I find myself tilling under more property and putting more effort in efforts in this genre of the farm.  I am meeting more people, making more friends.  Building a wonderful business for my family and I.  I would hate to think that I am running head on into something I would eventually detest.  Have seen some of it online, but you get that with anything internet.  If I ever need secret gardens, I am so out of here.

I think you'll be alright, AJDrew. Some folks like to get some attention through drama and feigned paranoia. I bet no one is searching your farm for seeds. =D
