whole teaspoon of Blair's 3am!?

Lol so you guys know I have been following the thread. I can't say much except that I know what I may walk into may be much worse than expected and I am not a fan of extracts... I can't say much more at this point because I know you are all right.

What I recommend you do, is at least test the Sauce on a tooth pick before going ahead with the stunt. And if you do go ahead with the insanity, make sure to do so on a somewhat full stomach so the extract doesn't sit on your stomach lining. Drink milk, eat a banana, meal with cream cheese ect. And make 100% sure you don't get any on your lips.

To deal with the massive full body pain keep your body as still as possible and meditate on the pain.(at least until your mouth goes numb and the stomach pain kicks in). I went a bit too far with these extracts last year, and ended up in the hospital after a full table spoon of The Source 7.1SHU. It will never be worth the bragging rights.

Why is it so bad for you? I have a cold for the first time in almost a decade and I've been eating a spoonfull of 4,000,000 SHU sauce at least once a day for a few days now to clear my head. The sauce is Cajohns "Z nothing beyond." It tastes like crap and I doubt it's really 4,000,0000, but what are the risks? I have had some dull stomach pains and a little burn when I pee (lol, new one for me) but nothing too bad. I've heard that pure extract can be dangerous but I've never heard of a sauce made with extract being dangerous.

I've never tried Blair's products and I'm not saying it's a good idea, I'm just curious about what could happen if you OD on hot sauce. :mouthonfire:

First Z Beyond Nothing only contains 4mill extract not the sauce rated at 4mill.
2nd 3am is pure extract, not a sauce so the pain is going to be a million times worse than that.
After eating only half a teaspoon of extract sauce (not pure extract) I throw up and have severe pains. I don;t think you can "build up a tolerance" to pure extract, it could only damage you. Not a good idea and am definately not recommending to do a full spoon of pure extract, but people will do as they please. We have all warned, nothing more we can do.

Tolerances to extracts can't be built, one reason Blair's Mega & Ultra death are so popular is basically the same reason - for unseasoned spice lovers these sauces will forever own you. Unless you start eating naturals and build your tolerance to equal levels - this can't be achieved with pure extracts and only extract sauces.
I've kinda veered away from extracts since discovering the beauty of natural ingredients in my early days of loving chilli.
And I sincerely believe I won't ever consume extracts after this, simply cause they're not worth the hype and taste like crap.

And I'm sure you all know it even though I haven't said it, I will gladly eat any hot pepper you give me without much hesitation but this is something else. I will have a friend come by when it is done. I will have a stomach full of potato and milk... As for weather or not I will do it...... still undecided but I don't really want to chicken out - even though it is indeed the mature thing to do. If anything I will reduce the quantity.

ok Creator, so if that is the case, then why do I get the stomach punch from raw Scorpions?

Dunno. I never get the gut punch (glurp) after eating freash peppers, of any kind. I'll get the usual burn but that's about it. It's the chemical extracts that give me the "glurp". I've discussed this with many people over the years, and it seemed to be the overwheling concensus. Considering the chemicals they use for 'normal' extracts, it's not surprising the stomach wants nothing to do with it. But for fresh peppers, I don't really know anyone who gets the 'glurp' from them. It could just be from the volume of capsaicin in the stomach at one time, if you are inhaling a bunch of peppers at one sitting.

Contact Webster's, I think we've got a new word!!!

Obviously I'm not asking for your evil secrets D-Con, but I thought you were essentially distilling for concentration. I'm just curious about the process.

A sauce made from 4,000,000 scovile extract is nowhere near that hot, thats just how hot the extract was. Mad Dog Collectors silver edition is made with 6,000,000 scoville extract, but is only around 750,000 scovilles. And Pure extract has a very different effect than extreme hot sauce.

Anyone who does this is asking for trouble !!!

You're not alone. It's a process I find quite interesting, and it has evolved over the years. I prefer to make my own 'concentractives', as each vessel has a good dose of my own pain & agony in it (I'm not joking). It makes it much more personal when I watch others excrete their own tears of agonizing blissful pain.

Trust me, it's NOT a fun process, it really isn't, but I don't care. It's like the Blues Brothers, "I'm on a mission from God".
