Stay warm bro, we're in for it these next few days!

Thanks Scott! Looks like it's going to be a while, too…I had a fire going in my fireplace all weekend…Last winter I lit exactly zero fires...

Now That's Funny, but he does get some trooper points for posting it anyway....now I'll go back and continue my seemingly eternal game of "catch up"!

Have a good one-
DJ

Man, it's good to hear from you Dave! Thanks for stopping in and checking Carlos' vid…I never get tired of it. I agree with you, it took some nerve just to post the video… :fireball: I'm still waiting for the rematch….

Hey Gary-
That NB is a beast of a plant , one the largest I've seen of any pepper-very nice. Those pods look to have thickened up a good bit, and that uniform orange color on the inside means handle with care!

I got word that all my plants in the ground dropped their leaves from that frost the other day :mope: , of course it happens every year -but I never like it.Glad to see the NB got a break!

Next year is gonna see some serious soil remediation, lots of 2yr old bagasse- meaning the old weed barrier and all is gonna come up, overwinters outta the ground,
full tilling.I'm not lookin forward to that....I say that, oh hell, yes, I am lookin forward to it!!!

Hey Gary, The NagaBrain is a winner, indeed.  Wow.  Heat!
Love the shape and color.  I took a bunch of seeds from
the pods you sent - they look good; there were some loose
ones in the pods.  I'm going to do a germ test to see if they
are viable.

I'm looking forward to this grow!

Thanks Dave! Sound like you're not at home? If you are there I can get out some fresh NB pods to you tomorrow… :P (And some F2 NB seed if you're interested…)

All my in-ground plants are complete toast now, but the F1 Mother NB (container plant) is hunkered down in my garage, waiting for the next warm spell to get here….

I'll be interested to see how the bagasse soil-building project goes…As soon as I can break loose for a few afternoons I've got to finish up a couple of my RCW rows here in DeSoto Parish. I'm not getting caught again by the spring with some of my beds not ready….

Lol, thanks! I got spanked by a NB pod just this morning…

Cool, thanks for doing the germ test PG…Those seeds should be good, but it would be nice to know for sure. (I'm about to send out dried seeds from last summer to all the F3 NagaBrain growers just to be sure.)

Gary,

Do you plant a cover crop during the off season?

Been doing it for years here and it really helps, using rye and crimson clover.

And yeah, we've been running through the Live Oak, helps with the heating bills ;)

I'll try to get the germ test going in the next couple of days.
Have to track down our heating pad!  I'm also going to test
some gas ripened and banana bag ripened seeds to see if
they are viable as well.

Have a good week, Gary.

Hi Scott! Thanks for the suggestion…My beds, however, are topped by a thick mulch layer of RCW that I don't disturb….Besides that, sometimes it's almost plant-out time before I get around to removing the previous year's dead plants...

I've had the same experience burning red oak in the fireplace--The furnace doesn't run nearly as much, cutting way down on the gas and electric bills. Besides that, the radiant heat seems to be way healthier than the dried-out, fan-forced "baked" air. Much better on everyone's sinuses... :P

Cool PG! I'll be interested to see how that comes out...

You will never guess what came today .....the box that you mailed on Nov 25th!!!!!! :onfire: :onfire: :onfire: Everything looks great inside and it doesn't look like any Border agents were snacking on the contents  .

I took a picture but for some reason I cant upload it??

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!

Hey Stefan! It's done . :P

Couldn't happen to a nicer person, Gary!
