WindowBoxGardner First Glog 2017

First time writing a Glog AND planting in a raised garden bed because I just purchased my home in April of this yr and it came with the raised bed! Whaaat?!?! Hell yeah!!
Usually Im planting in large pots or there was a space for about 4 plants to grow in the ground.
The growing space I had before I moved, was very very small. I think the garage was bigger than the backyard!
I knew after I moved into my new home, I would have a chance to grow in this raised bed an be satisfied growin some peppers and tomatoes until I could turn half the backyard dirt over for next season. (Thinking bigger for next season already)
All I did to this bed was add 5 bags of garden soil, turned it over, an planted as soon as I could

The pepper plants
2 Thai yellow
1 Thai red
1 Habanero chocolate
1 Takanotsume
1 De Arbol
6 Thai ornamental in pots

Tomato plants:
1 Beefmaster vfn hybrid
2 Chefs choice
1 celebrity
2 window bx Roma (i think)
1 magnum beefmaster
All in a 4'x16'x12" garden bed

Unfortunately not all plants made it thanks to my dog. Half Shepard half lab

This dog smashed most of the garden within two weeks. I wasn't sure what to do as far as protecting it. With some plants smashed or pulled completely out I kinda gave up because I wasn't winning this argument with my wife about the dog!
Time went by an I noticed the plants that were broken or looked almost dead.. they came back up! I tried putting tape on a couple pepper plants that were barely hanging on an the tomato plants had risen back from the dead, so my wife went to the nearest HD an bought 6 steel stakes an a roll of fencing for me hoping itll help. Well so far its working.
And this weather we are having here in Ca Has made my plants look even better. Well.. most of them lol heres a few pictures

this garden isn't the neatest either. Im just lettin u know.
I'll try to keep a Glog going as much as possible but how often am I supposed to update? Every week, once a month?
And did I leave anything out? What else would you like to see or read about?
Tomato plant pics?
The marijuana grow too? Haha jk
Input please

Plants are looking great! You're living my dream right now LOL. I'm in a one room apt with the boyfriend and the balcony is my garden. Looking forward to your updates. Keep up the great work.

ps. With your dog messing up your plants--I totally feel for you. My green cheek conure ate some of my sprouts I was growing indoors. My fault for not watching him, but I didn't know he could fit through the gap of the door and floor.   It was when I heard him yell, "yummy, yummy." that I ran in. hah

Excellent glog and outstanding grow! Your maters are killin' it! I grow maters every year and, with the exception of the cherries, they don't do very well. If you haven't tried them yet, Chocolate Habs are awesome! I love them sliced up fresh on burgers. Keep up the great work and congrats on your new house and raised beds!

Not every year is a good one with tomatoes for myself. Some yrs all I would end up with is great lookin plants an no fruit. Hoping for a decent harvest this season with the tomatoes.
If you notice in the picture how tall the chocolate habanero is.. its because the dog stomped on it multiple times!
Still have hope for this plant though. i'll just have to wait an see. Fingers crossed
This will be my 3rd season growing them an always have done pretty well.
I'll keep updating. Thanks Bhuter

Very nice selection of Thai peppers, WBG!

Your wife is awesome for hooking you up with the fencing!

Where in N. Cali to you live?  I grew up in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
