my crop was slow this year, too much really hot weather for my short growing season.....although it is coming on strong, and if i get 3-4 more weeks frost free, it could be a really good haul......things are really starting to mature and ripen fast
that being said, i tried growing some white varieties this year.....i make my sauces based on color......my red gets 10-15 varieties of red, some carrot to stretch it a little.....and wild cranberries and pomegranate to deepen the flavors
i think i'll end up with a quart bag or so of whites that will ripen this year in time....maybe a few more......i don't have a recipe in mind yet, but if i can procure a SFRB or two of whites (any superhot variety would be cool), i can make a batch of "Ballstown Heat White" this year (in addition to Green Red, Smoked Red, Yellow, Blend, Green, Chocolate, Peach and Caramel
