I'm not sure how different the CARDI strain is from the just-plain-yellow-scorpion, but I've had fantastic luck cooking with the latter this year. Â I bought a plant on a whim, thinking it was basically going to be just a decoration that was too hot to cook "normal" food with. Â Nope---it's very usable, and has a nice sweet version of the yellow _chinense_ flavor palette.

Is the CARDI significantly different? Â Mine came from Refining Fire, whose catalog guesses "about 600K" for the typical heat level---I'm not sure if the CARDI strain is milder still, or if this is more or less the same thing (in which case I might have to grow them both next year).
