chinense Yellow Trinidad Scorpion Cardi?

Yes I have obtained a yellow tinidad scorpion cardi plant. An from the limited reviews I can find online about this species, they say it's not to hot. Now my question is has anyone found real heat out of these plants/pods? Or is it just a milder scorpion?
 
It is milder but it is very prolific and one of my favorites! It probably doesn't fit in the superhot category but it's very nice.

+1 on what cap said. BUT, I received a few peppers from a member last year, and the version I tried was VERY hot. It was almost yellow Scorp hot! So, Im growing both this year to see what happens.
 
Thanks for the replies. Just trying to figure where it sits on the scale. An was just wondering if it was so diverse from pod to pod like the moruga tests showed it was I.e one hab heat the next melt your face off! LOL An as for jalapeno's there not even on my list this time. After growing bhuts and nibbling on them, they just started tasting like an average bell pepper.
 
Great pepper. You will love it. Perfect heat and taste IMO. Not a super but I have had pods that make me think otherwise :drooling:

I'm not sure how different the CARDI strain is from the just-plain-yellow-scorpion, but I've had fantastic luck cooking with the latter this year.  I bought a plant on a whim, thinking it was basically going to be just a decoration that was too hot to cook "normal" food with.  Nope---it's very usable, and has a nice sweet version of the yellow _chinense_ flavor palette.
 
Is the CARDI significantly different?  Mine came from Refining Fire, whose catalog guesses "about 600K" for the typical heat level---I'm not sure if the CARDI strain is milder still, or if this is more or less the same thing (in which case I might have to grow them both next year).

I have the cardi growing and I am constantly hearing good things about it. Its one of the varieties I'm more excited for!
 
I love it!  Mine have just woken from their over-winter slumber and are sprouting and have little bunches of flowers developing - I cannot wait!  It is most likely a scotch bonnet or congo bred with a trini scorpion and is the product of the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute.  It is not a super-hot but it is very sweet and very fruity.  Hotter than a hab tho.  Actually a lot hotter.  But very bearable.  A great commercial pepper.

Oh I ate that sucker after about a week of admiring it!  It lit me up, had a wicked tongue and lip burn!  I entered this pod in a facebook prettiest pod contest and it didnt win.  Clearly the judges had it wrong cause I have never seen a more perfect pod.

Yes sir! Looks like a winner to me. Hopefully the seed will bring you more like it.
