I am one of the few people who seems to enjoy Da Bomb Ground Zero flavor and heat (haven't tried the others but wow is GZ hooot and it doesn't let go for quite a while!). I think it's the molasses and pineapple juice, it's a little different, but I think it tastes good. I am also quite partial to all of Melinda's hot sauces and not a fan of Daves' stuff so it's not that I have a more refined palette than everyone else 😂

Side question...did Da Bomb change the name of their hottest sauce Da Final Answer from an older, potentially offensive similar name? I swear it used to be called Da Final Solution, talking 20 years ago, but trying to dig that far back on the internet isn't easy especially with how terrible every search engine is these days.

There are multiple online sources suggesting that the hot sauce currently known as "Da' Bomb The Final Answer" was originally called "Da Bomb The Final Solution". Some users on Reddit also mention that the name was changed from "The Final Solution". However, the exact timing and reasons for the name change are not explicitly stated in the provided search results.

It's important to note the phrase "Final Solution" is a sensitive historical term, as it refers to the Nazi plan for the genocide of Jews. This association may have contributed to a name change for the hot sauce, although the search results don't confirm this directly.

Oh man, I forgot about Blair's lol. I haven't had Jersey Death, only After Death, don't think I cared for that one too much. Doesn't appear they still make the Jersey Death. I still have the skull keychain.

Burns & McCoy (locally made about 60 miles north of me), makes a hot sauce called Exhorresco with 7 Pot Primos (you've probably heard of it) that quickly became my favorite. Seeing people say it's not that hot makes me wonder, it tests quite high especially for a non-extract, but I've learned to take 90% of what I read online with a huge grain of salt. People are full of 💩 more often than not ime. That reminds me I ran out and need to get more...with that said I find GZ to be far more of an intense, painful heat even though it's about half the SHU.

Extract hot sauces no thank you.
Too hot, tastes bad.
Plenty of natural hot sauces out there with great flavors & heat to consume then waste my money on any hot sauce that has extract in it. Yes I do look & if it has extract (anyway worded) I do not buy !

My only real experience with extracts is the sauce that comes with the Buldaak hot chicken ramen noodles and it tastes very bitter and artificial to me. Not a big fan of that, just doesn’t taste normal.

Hammer town, does the sauce come in a side dish? Do you know what the brand is? Just curious, I am not familiar with Buldaak hot chicken ramen

I’m out of them right now but was holding onto a wet packet in the fridge and forgot about it. I just threw it out. If you search “Korean fire noodles” you’ll come across them. The noodles themselves, being Korean, are awesome but the sauce is artificial tasting to me. Using the full pouch of sauce in the noodles is quite hot. They have several other versions as well as a 2X heat version. My favourite was one that has lime and habanero in it. The Walmarts and grocery stores around here carry them but they’re getting kinda pricey.
The wet packet with the heat.

Oleoresin is likely the culprit. Oleoresin is one of many words for Chile extract, Chile oil. The same process is used for paprika (paprika oleoresin) which is used as a coloring agent in many foods.

The 2X version was banned in the UK for being “dangerously hot” 😂. They later rescinded the ban, but have left a ban on the newer 3X version. It’s stupid, people who want to will just combine the wet bag from 2 packs for higher heat. The oleoresin results in a lot of lip burn because it’s impossible to eat the noodles without getting them on the lips.
