Coffee prices took a serious hike! I used to pay M$140 per lb., which went up to a blowing M$190 for the same package. Soon it´ll be cheaper to get my fix with amvitamines 😑

Prices of most groceries have increased with 5-10% since the beginning of the year, but the prices of local produce has remained relatively stable. I only drink locally grown coffee, so I'm not sure what this price hike is reflecting. Some of my colleagues say it's because of an increased demand on the international market following reduced coffee harvests in Brazil.

Climate change and monocultures are a direct path to failure and we haven't seen anything yet, I'm afraid...

alright soo it's not that mutch hotter but it is technically hotter wasnt ripe all the way yet and is the F1 seed pod confussing but i will have to grow these to get the first generation and then i think perhaps it might beat the record but im not concerned of records unless it is at least 4 times hotter then perhaps otherwise is pretty mutch for fun, weee!

Thats a good question on what to call a new pepper, I have trouble naming a new email account. There are some brilliant people on this site, who might have some better suggestions.
Buying a dehydrator to preserve the tons of chilies i will be harvesting in a couple of months. Pineapple habanero salsa, porc taco's,

It woul be wise to check the temp then. I had one that literally cooked my seeds a few years ago and I've been using a temperature controller ever since.

I am from Holland. And whats stated is correct about the spices in the Netherlands. In my own experience last year, the peppers came to me by the Germans. A couple of them moved to a Spanish island in the Atlantic and started a chili corporation. They sold me the seeds i'm growing today. Dont know about turduckens dough, do you shoot 'm?

Turducken is a dish associated with Louisiana, consisting of a de-boned chicken stuffed into a de boned duck, further stuffed into a de boned turkey, I believe it is deep fried to perfection, and then served with gravy and stuffing. I think before eating it, you are required to sign a waiver with your health insurance provider???

Cheers!
PURPLE Carolina Reapers in red mode! They took forever to turn from purple to red but are super hot so was worth the wait are also almost just as hot in purple mode

I ordered Chocolate Reaper seeds from Matt's Peppers. They'll be here Friday. Can't wait to get them germinating and growing!
FroggyMamma

@SadisticPeppers loose sandy soil is the best thing for this plant make sure has aeration twigs branches leaf mulch i use water soluble fertilizer but the organic granular fertilizer is probably better, and bit of mulch on top the red mulch is good but anything to hold just bit of moisture, best wishes
this year is is getting spicy perhaps is going to cause global warming i think ha!

Very cool, I like to grind up Italian seasonings and add it to chicken soup, and when I have tuna sandwiches, it always mustard and banana peppers, aka pepperoncini.

its a "hot wax" spice similar to jalapeno but except with lemon zest zing is reason perfect for most salads and fish meals is fussy to grow allot like bell peppers but the surprise heat is fun zest! worth it! get these "hot wax" I'm planting all the seeds and going to fill the yard with these, seeds originally bought at the Tractor farm store

Yes, I pretty much like the zing those peppers add to the tuna. Looks like you are doing alright in your garden.

Cheers!!!
