Yum.......those Yellow 7's look de-lish. I can smell them from here and my fingers are burning from the thought of deseeding them without gloves !
I gave up on the Yellow Scorps in favor of the 7's..........the flav was the deciding factor.

Although I have to admit, I'd probably need a "Magic Wand" to get a producer like that............do you think Ronco sells them........... :D

Deng romy. You may not be good at fantasy football but you sure know how to keep your plants pumping. Here in SoCal we've had our first frost advisory. So a few plants I take inside at day and back out at night. As for the sbj7. One is growing well. The other seedling is going bonzai o me. Will post pics later

Ramon, I have used seaweed extract many many times. I still use it . It is great for the roots and has many other benefits. Not sure sure about actual seaweed but I bet it would be great. I would bring a crap load home and till it in your garden. Not sure about container plants though. Should break down pretty fast though. :fireball:

G - man !!! So glad you grew the yellow 7. It has been one of my favorite peppers for a long time
Greg. I like the flavor of both the yellow 7 and yellow scorp but the heat of the 7 pod won me over. If we could all grow like Gary there would be no marketplace ;)

KingD, thanks for the compliments. Glad to here the SBJ7's germinated. I will be watching those litle guys to maturity for schism

Thanks Greg! I really think it was the excellent quality of Jamie's seeds that are responsible for the success of these plants. That and what seems to be the remarkable viability and robustness of all the Trinidad chiles...

I made way more mistakes than the plants should have forgiven me for: I wasn't even planning to grow Yellow 7, but I killed about 80% of the sprouts for my over-thought, OCD-planned grow back in February with the Damping Off...Jamie kept telling me I should grow Yellow 7, so I started 12 or so of them late. Then I kept the baby plants in the little intermediate containers months longer than I should have. Most of the summer they languished in the shade of first, my giant pecan tree, then, second, the Bonda Ma Jacques row, until I finally moved them to the driveway, in October. That's when they began to produce in ernest.

Another bit of serendipity from Jamie's Yellow 7 seeds: One of the plants did not grow true—Instead it gave us that lovely chile we are calling NagaBrain...

I love it when nature circumvents best-laid plans with something way better!

Great to be back my brother! Work will be pretty light for a few weeks...Time to do some seed starting!!!

Not bad for the end of December on your end! I won't ever be able to overwinter ingrounds as long as I'm not able to come home every night. Looks like you may lose a few too, but more will make it than not! I pulled mine today...was painful. Been trying some new sauce combos on this end. If I ever get it figured out you can count on a bottle or two.

Take care my brother!
Shane

Thanks Jamison. I know I am one lucky chilihead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Merry Christmas to you.

Ramon, It is a never ending grow here in the swamp

Shane my man. Glad to see you get a liitle rest and relaxtion :fireball:

So I made me some sauce today. Thanks to Vincent(coheed196) I made a sauce I would have never thought of without his kick ass book he sent me for Christmas. They call it" Inner Beauty Hot Sauce".From Chris Schlesingers East Coast Grill In Cambridge, Mass. I tweaked it a bit but it is really tasty . Here are the ingredients that I used to get
the idea from. Did not have any curry powder nor any corriander so I subbed some of Rocketman's smoked hab powder and used some all spice .

So I used
7 yellow 7's
1/2 cupof yellow mustard
1 mango
1/2 cup oj
1/4 cup of white vinegar
1/4 cup of white sugar( called for brown)
1 teaspoon of all spice
1 teaspoon of groung cummin
1 teaspoon of Rocketman's smoked hab powder
and some salt and black pepper. Cople pinches of each.

Only made two small jars. One for me one for Vincent :fireball:

Hi Jamie
typing remotely from Canada...
Curry powder is easy... it's mostly cumin, turmeric, coriander seed and maybe a little black pepper and cinnamon. There are as many curry powder blends as there are Indian cooks as they make up the blends by individual taste. Looking at how the sauce came out, if you'd used orange habs and the turmeric you'd have gotten something neon yellow! Good work brother.

The plants look like they will recover like the others, but that sucks about the in ground plants. Tebow is looking like a beast that is awesome. Now that is looking like a great sauce to go with that harvest shot. MMM strawberries I decided to add strawberries to the growlist for this year the ailpine White and Yellow hopefully I can make something as good as that looks, but more than likely my family or I will eat them right off the plant.
Have a great Chrsitmas and New Year with the family
