Primo released some new pepper seeds

Like most pepperheads, I get very excited about new varieties becoming available. I'm going to give Primo's seeds a shot (thanks for letting us know they're available Rajun). His prices seem very reasonable and worth every penny. Can't wait to grow the "big black mama!"

I ordered seeds from these guys again for this past grow season and once again came away impressed. I had good germination rates and all seeds grew as advertised. Good prices too. Here are pics of a stubby peter pepper and a california reaper.

    Steam Distillation with dehydrated peppers?

With all of the buzz surrounded essential oils, I'm curious if anyone knows what would happen with the steam distillation of dehydrated peppers? Would the oil that is extracted be considered pepper "essential oil" or would it be capsaicin? Would oil from peppers even be extractable using steam...

I ordered a few superhot varieties from Jim in the spring. Everything germinated and grew as advertised. I didn't receive any freebies, but I don't expect to. The most important thing to me is that the peppers grow true, which they did. Overall I am very pleased and would order again. Here is a...

Don't look like a Reaper to me but then I don't have a clue

Looks more like a ghost pepper to me.

    BearDown 2017 Glog

It's been a busy summer so I haven't been able to update as often as I'd like. I'll update more as more peppers start to pod up. Here are two quick pics

    Freezing: how dead is dead

Keep the faith! Don't give up on them, hopefully they'll make it. Definitely bring them inside though.

They've definitely got some intense heat, I'd say hotter than Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpion but probably not quite as bad as a Reaper. Either way, they're freakin' hot. I like the looks of them too, that's what hooked me.

I bought from these guys because I wanted to grow the "California Reaper." Check out the pics below of the California Reaper (needless to say, I was really impressed after initially being unsure of what to expect). Good prices and selection. I grew other varieties as well and everything grew...
