Hi guys,
I've got a couple of overwintered pepper plants. Some leaves are looking strange, slightly curly and bumpy. Could this be a nutrient lockout causing like calcium deficiency, or did I just go too hard on the nutrients?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Joe and :welcome:
I also use rapid rooters and I usually keep the dome on, or somewhat on (open the vents), until I transplant the seedlings into soil. This because the rapid rooters gets dry very quickly. I've never had any problems with damping off, however you could get some algae on...
Thanks man! I'll try and lower the soil pH (it measured 7.7-7.8 yesterday). As for the ferts I'm using a NPK 3-1-4 which has been great the last couple of seasons. The water I'm using is probably too alkaline. More about this in my thread...
Big thanks Lovepeppers! I'll order a pH kit on the internet right away. I hope I'll get it in time though, the plant is starting to drop leaves and really looks sad.
I do have a NPK 2-12-2 bat guano fert but I guess it wouldn't make a difference if the pH level is bad (I mean until I get a...
It looks like you and me have got the same issues with our plants. Unfortunately I still haven't figured out what causes it but I'm investigating it.
This is my thread. The last pictures looks similar to yours, however my pics are taken at a later stage...
I only have a pH meter for soil, but I guess it will work for liquids as well? The soil pH is in the upper 7 level, it's not a digital meter so I can't tell exactly, but definitely 7.7-7.8. Will this lock out any important nutrients causing the plant to look like this and dropping the leaves...
Does anyone have an idea about what this could be? I'm starting to suspect bad soil since all my plants got this now. And it seems they get this discoloration when stressed, for example after transplanting or topping/pruning.
No, they don't wilt. I was thinking if there could be something wrong with the soil, but that would have affected the plants when they were younger as well. The really big problems started when I was topping the plants.
Are you sure those plants aren't supposed to look like that?
