Black Jalapeno Flower w Cucumber Beetle 5/30/2012

https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B3WFhsz0c7aXR0lBLUo2S0h3ckU Taken today. To the unexperienced, this would be a nice nature pic. However, this is not a good sign seeing cucumber beetles so early in the season.

video 2012 Pepper Garden - YouTube Video Link

No problem. I solarized the soil this year. Can't tell to much except the ground was extremely soft and easy to work. I also used a 14" tine Broadfork to help "burp" the soil and get some oxygen deeper in the ground. I have NO association with Growers Supply, but it's where I get almost 99%...

    White Habs

I'm not sure where I got these, but I usually get my seeds from one of two sources: 1st - PepperJoe.com 2nd - Cross Country Nurseries (http://www.chileplants.com/) I also started Tepin's and Butch T Trinidad Scorpions. 20 pots w 3 seeds each. The only thing to come up was 3 Butch T's. 3...

    White Habs

I grow lots of varieties of peppers. For some reason, I always have issues with White Habaneros. They come up then the stem shrinks at the soil line. This is my second year growing them and out of 100+ plants, all planted together, no other plants have this issue. My recovery is to nurse...

    OMG OMG OMG OMG

Awesome. Be careful not to over-fertilize. You likely know, but I've seen some monster plants with leaves bigger than your hand and hardly any peppers. Have a great day!

Spiders are good for the garden, right?

I can't remember the exact name, but we always called these Banana Spiders growing up in Southern Illinois. They are FANTASTIC for your garden. However, I haven't seen even one in Southern Indiana and been living here 20 years now. Unfortunately, I now see Black Widows. Not cool.

    Gudenhot's 2012 Pepper Start

Here's my 2012 Pepper Garden. A lot smaller than previous, but better I feel. Still have a lot of plants I will likely place in pots. Using Netafim sub-irrigation this year. I've been VERY IMPRESSED with it. https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B3WFhsz0c7aXQUM5NXQ5NzBfWVk...

    Gudenhot's Current Bucket Grow

Lost a majority of my plants to the excessive rainfall we've had this year. However, buckets seem to be performing great. This is definitely the direction I'm moving in for next year. July 16, 2011 Bucket Video
