I'm afraid I'm not able to close out the thread with any conclusive results. I've had 3 weeks vacation now, and haven't been able to follow up the plant as closely as I would have liked, but I think the environmental shock from moving it outside probably overshadowed any other changes I applied...

True, true. I am in fact an actual engineer, just one that is used to dealing with computers and electronics that give immediate feedback when I try to force them to do stuff they don't like.   One can always hope that the plants will teach me some patience still   :dance:     Thanks yet again...

I see your points regarding not feeding every time, but a lot of the fun in this whole ordeal for me is trying to engineer an automatic set up, where I'd only refill a reservoir once every 2 weeks or so. It would be possible to do it in a different way of course, and make a separate reservoir...

So when I flushed it the other day the ppm I measured in the runoff was quite low, around 150 ppm. However the pH was quite high, around 6.85. Are you supposed to measure the first runoff, or later in the flushing process? It didn't swing much anyway, just got more similar to the flushing...

Yes, I know it's probably not going to make a difference in the long run, it was just an easy thing to do there and then. My local grow shop is a weird place, but quite fun, really more of a "freak fashion" shop as they call themselves. I wouldn't trust their advice for anything serious at all :D
