Question, would it be possible to take the seeds from a pepper without letting it 'sit'? I watched some videos on YT and it said to let the pods sit for a couple days before taking the seeds out. I'll be getting a box of peppers soon and was wondering if I can just scrape out the seeds gently...
I'll probably be using either Coco fiber or Promix HP. Not too sure yet as it depends if I'm able to go back home to get the Promix HP and I'm not too sure if it has nutrients as I don't have the bag with me. But it'll most likely be coco fiber.
After looking more into it, I won't water by...
I'm just curious to see how you would dilute it. I've read that you use it with every watering and it's the only fert. that you should need for your plants, but I'm just not sure how much to mix in. I've heard 1/4 teaspoon per gallon, but I don't know if that's too little or too much. For those...
So once I get the fertilizer, I should water them with it once a week (or just once in general as they won't be in the coir for long)?
Gotcha, thanks!
I'll look into it, thanks!
I'm planning to get this fertilizer: https://www.amazon.com/Dyna-Gro-DYFOL008-Foliage-Pro-11/dp/B003SUT6VS...
Gotcha. I was just thinking about keeping them in the coir until they sprout new leaves and then transplant them into the Promix sub (which has some fert) and then just add fertilizer in. Would this work in your opinion?
When will I need to start giving nutrition? I was told they're fine up until the sprout their new leaves and then transplant them into the substrate they'll be in for the remainder of their lives.
Question, how hot exactly are Nagareapers and Jigsaw Gators? I've never had a super hot, but I've eaten habaneros regularly with ease as of lately. My friend, never had anything too spicy, wants to try the Nagareaper and I'm going with the Jigsaw Gator. Thanks!
Only thing is, I had bought some miracle gro seed starting mix, but it had come damaged so I'm only left with coco fiber right now. I do have PROMIX HP for their 'adult' substrate, but don't really have much else sadly. Would they be able to survive at least in the coco fiber?
I was also going...
Does anyone use straight coco coir(have some left over from pet substrate) for a seed starting sub? I'm raising some from plastic bags and was wondering if they can be kept in just coco coir (with maybe some peat) until they grow some true leaves. Thanks!
