what about the leaves looking a litte black?

so i am having some problems with my plants. The peppers are turning a light yellow color then a brownish blackish color. any ideas??   I also saw some blackish leaves on another plant with mushrooms growing in it and out of the bottom??

I'm new here and wanted to make some pepper powder. I want to get some reviews on which Dehydrator I should purchase I also would like to know what type of mill I should use.

Thanks for the replies. I live close to a mushroom farm they sell ten cubic yards for $20 so I decided to try planting directly in mushroom compost didn't do so well the compost compacted. The plants where stunted with a woody base the leaves turned lime green except for the veins on the leaf...

Has any one ever grown pepper plants directly in mushroom compost??
