Talking about feeling less stressed sometimes if I am feeling annoyed I think 'I will  just go and talk to my real friends' and then  I go and hang out with the chilli plants :)    I've managed to go to Bunnings the last three times and not buy any more plants - just potting mix and stuff...

I found something similar (not potted but a big stick of it)  thrown out for roadside rubbish collection a couple of years ago - which i insisted on bringing home- much to the embarrassment of my kid 

I repotted most of the plants that had survived winter and gave them some fertilizer, they seem to be happily doing their thing now.

I can play, I have a dorset naga I started in October. At least I hope it' s a DN, I bought the seeds off Ebay  - so we shall see.

May your newly rediscovered seed comfort you in your hour of despair  :p The goat has eaten my grape vines, pomegranate, fig tree and today the silver beet, but aside from that one mouthful has not eaten the chillies (yet). I can't eat her, she was a Christmas gift.  

Can anyone ID this pest I caught eating my chillies?  :D      

A distinct fur flavour with subtle earthy undertones and a repelling aroma. Very little heat though.

Now here is a real noob question, but when people talk about cholocate chillies is it a flavour or just the color - like chocolate Labradors?   :P

I have wondered this myself, not so much whether it will make the plant die, but if it is like a rose bush and if you allow it to sit there with ripe pods on will that inhibit the production of new flowers. People dead head their rose bushes so the plant wants to keep making new flowers because...

Yeah, for sure, my chilli plants are all at various stages of newness so not quite sure what to expect there, but all my other plants look more perky. I think I might put some shade cloth over my vege patch next year.
