I use Kroger brand distilled water without problems. Its about a buck a gallon and lasts me several ferments.

Good job sir! This is definitely a great recipe. I made my first batch last night. I used 300 grams of habanero and 100 grams of thai pepper. I got about 2.5 8 oz jars of puree out of this. The puree has just a touch of sweetness and its HOT. I'll definitely make this again. Thanks.

Growing did come to mind but its a combination of hot banana, Hungarian wax, jalapeno, and habanero. Its like a box of chocolates I'm not sure what I'm going to get. There really isn't much membranes just what came off when I seeded the peppers.

I just got done canning some hot pepper jelly. I haven't thrown out the seeds and membranes yet and don't want them to go to waste. Any ideas? I thought maybe boil in some vinegar for a few minutes and strain?
