Hello,   Does anyone know a good comprehensive guide on these topics? Or some beginning material.   Mainly I want to know the difference between male and female flowers, best approaches to cross pollinating etc.

I am reading up on and interested in cross breeding and selective breeding some chillis.   Just a simple question, I know obviously seeds from one plant will vary differently in their dominant and recessive genes but will one fruit from one flower contain identical seeds or will that one fruit's...

I have read that C. Annums will indeed last several years if looked after properly. I have also read they are stricly annual plants from other sources.   Is there perhaps certain breeds that are only annual?   On the same note, how long will a chilli plant last if looked after?

Also wondering why it is bad?   I have heard they will grow fine, but not as big as an individual but will both yield fruit, so you sort of even out in the end?

Yea they do like a good chilli.   I gave them one of my trinidad scorpion plants, about a foot tall and just about to flower so they have some hot ones on the way.   Might give the hab a go and see how hot it really is then, unless there is a backyard way to measure scoville.
