Never had any problems. Also, nit a tremendous need to thaw if you are using superhots. A simple rinse and the blender usually thaws them out. I still usually take them out the nught before using.
Fairly new to the Orlando area. Anyone know any upick farms or farms/farmers markets that sell superhots in the general area (willing to drive an hour or so).
By all means correct me it's why I'm here. Farmer's Almanac said St. Cloud last frost is this week. In containers and have a closed deck so started a little early.
Will try to get a pic. Transplanted in regular organic potting soil, no miracle grow, though the Bonnie's planter had some. I cut...
I bought 2 Bonnie's bhut jolokias to take care of while waiting for my seeds to sprout (in Central Florida). A week after transplant one looks very healthy, but the other has limp droopy stems. The foliage is really healthy and dark green, but the stems don't seem to want to perk up.
Should I...
My season is ending and my two bhuts have an enormous bumper crop I dont know I will have enough warmth to ripen outdoors. My wife is killing me tojust pull the plug... but I cant. What is the best and cheapest alternative to try to finish ripening already set pods indoors??
I have a very honorable poacher. Seems to only be taking one pepper here and there, but since I only grew 20 it's noticable. I am trying to be positive about it... and be happy someone is sharing in my hard work and love of chiles...but it is a bit annoying when you were waiting for pods to...
Not angry in the least AJ. They are pretty and big as my hand. Moving them out of rain I lost a green reaper and it was still pretty hot. The few Scorpions I've harvested were some of the hottest peppers I've eaten. 100% satisfied with this first year of growing.
So they CAN be bhuts and not finger-y? A guy at work gave me pods and said they were ghosts but they looked like 7 pots or red habanero. But they were HOT!
