I use a product called EndAll by Safer brand. It's an organic pest control that contains pryethrins and neem oil and I believe is safe to use up to the day before harvest. Works pretty good for me and is always good to keep around just in case.
Both pods have good looking seed. I'm sure you are right but my curiosity is telling me to separately save these seed and to grow them out and see what happens lol.
I was just wondering how common it is. I was also curious if it was a phenotype or variation that could possibly be grown out to produce plants that grow only double pods.
Has anyone seen anything like this before? It's 2 separate pods from 1 flower. Maybe it was 2 flowers on 1 stem idk. I don't know why the pic keeps coming up sideways if anyone knows anything about that too...
Yes and yes they are good. Hard to place the flavor, to me they have a fruity floral taste. Heat hits quick but isn't long lasting. These little bad boys pack a punch for their size.(about 50,000 SHU). The plants are super prolific. All around cool pepper.
Tried this combination today and it turned out amazing. 60 Charapitas and 5 cayenne peppers went into this sauce. It has a nice kick but not too much for most. I've been wanting to make a sauce with Aji Charapitas and I wasn't disappointed
You definitely don't have to have a heat mat by all means but if you want fast reliable germination it does help and let's be real nobody likes waiting
I've found using a heat mat greatly increases the speed at which you get germination even though the rates may be the same as other traditional methods. Like Mulchy said you don't want it too hot either. I don't have a temp controller so I line the seedling starter tray liner with a small...
I could care less about the Marigolds lol. They're protecting all the crops I do care about. I've read they're good for deterring other pests and creatures like rabbits too.
I planted Marigolds throughout my garden for the first time this year and knock on wood have not had a single aphid all year. My peppers used to get bombarded with aphids till I tried this.
I am a pepper enthusiast and I would love to use the forums to learn new info and to share knowledge and share experiences. I also love the idea of exchanging seeds for different varieties!
