Should I throw the batch out?

What is your basic recipe that yields that pH?

    Datil peppers

Got my seedlings from chileplants.com. They look like these and are just now ripening up nice. Hot, fruity smell as well. Thinking about going rogue and making southern peppa style sauce with them this year.

Should I throw the batch out?

First off. Hello again. Been a few years. Secondly, I made a batch of hot sauce about a month ago. Ph is at 4.2/4.3, but it's just been sitting in Tupperware in the fridge (at 34-36 degrees). Is it too late to can? I've got a bunch more peppers to be harvested so won't be a total loss, just...

Need some serious help, what have I done?

This was my diagnosis. I'm assuming spot is fungal? I plan on getting a product tomorrow that is both fungicidal and bug killer (neem oil for the bugs, called triple action plus, used it last year) and hitting them with that. As far as the leaf damage, i scoured my plants with a uv flashlight at...

Completely random thread about slugs; quick way that helps to control 'em

Farmer, thanks for your response in my earlier thread, and now I offer some help to you. Get some solo cups (or the like), fill them half way with beer and place them in your garden. Yes you will get some wasps n such, but slugs in droves. Check the forecast of course. This was my Penn Dutch...

Need some serious help, what have I done?

Not all, The habaneros are fairing better than the others (duh, I guess) but some definitely look worse than the others. The Datils and Trinidad Perfumes look the worst by far. Not all are exhibiting leaf curl (none of the habs are, some have odd new growth though) EDIT, should add, none of...

Need some serious help, what have I done?

Firstly, hello again. Secondly, wow. Peppers are looking terrible. Aphids early, and now what looks like a combo of too wet and over fertilizing. I planted as last year in basic fafards, but, in hindsight like a fool, did what i thought was a very light application of an 8-5-5 (half recommended...

    Anyone can their hot sauce?

I just ordered a pH meter a few days ago. I think botulism is towards the bottom list of things I'd like to experience.

    Anyone can their hot sauce?

I know it isn't necessary if the pH is low enough. I can't ferment because I lack the free fridge space, and was wondering if I were to can the hot sauce if it would last longer and that the flavors could blend better?
