Yup, the recipe did call for it, and I figured that since people use lemon zest all the time that it wasn't a big deal. It actually ends up quite tasty this way I think.

Got my $10 box today. Beautiful pods, no complaints. Still can't get over how good of a deal these boxes are for what you get:

Thanks - I was mostly worried about bacteria/fungus/the fact that I didn't wash them at all before tossing them in the freezer. Wondering how much that'll matter.

Hi all, I did a potentially dumb thing, and froze all my peppers after forgetting about them for a few days.   The problem is that I didn't destem them and didn't wash them.   From my understanding, any bacteria/fungus that is on there is now "latent" and when I pull them out could defrost and...

Yeah, once it refrigerates I guess I'll find out how much I really care for it.   I'll use some fresh tomatoes next time for sure.

First time making salsa (got 2 SFRB of peppers so trying out a lot of recipes) and first time cooking with superhots.   Would love any tips from pros. Kind of just winging it right now. =/   Can of Diced Tomatoes (yeah I don't have fresh ones, get over it people :(), White Vinegar, Olive Oil  ...
