One thing you have be very careful of with tiny hoops is that the temperature fluctuations can be extreme. Same goes for tiny greenhouses. Without adequete monitoring and automated ventilation, you can go from 50 to 120 degrees in minutes. Last year I built a makeshift 6x6x6 poly tent to get...
I grew tons of choc habs last year and noticed the same moisture, obviously not that it's specific to choc habs. Didn't occur to me about picking in the morning as PIC 1 stated, makes sense though. I can tell you that I tasted the moisture inside and it was definitely very watery and not all...
Got some 7 Pot Primo's off a single plant. They shape looks totally wrong. Lot's of untrue 7 Pod Bubblegums too. Pulls are getting bigger now. This is the fun part of the season!
Today's pull...
Been doing a little looking around online and there are numerous reports that hot water and dish soap kills them. Videos on youtube showing them getting sprayed and dying within a minute or two. As far as I can tell the way it works is, they breath through pores (spiracles) on their abdomens...
Last year was the first time I saw them around these parts ( portland / vancouver ). I've heard that they might be an invasive species moving in to this area. Have any of you other PNW folks been seeing a rise in their populations?
Hate em so much. Kill several daily by hand.
Hey thanks! Best is yet to come. Such a late finish this year. Lot's of untrue plants, even from commercial retailers.
I'm starting to think about cloning this years best plants for next year. Attempted wrapping branches with tulle and had 100% flower drop. Next year I'll build screen...
I've had about a half dozen tiny pulls, but this morning I finally got one of decent size. They should start coming in daily and much larger. This are really coming late this year. The new greenhouse is gonna serve me well and help me get most of them to finish before it gets really cold here...
--- Now for the Jays Red GS ---
It's not just one or two spots. Every node intersection has these masses of buds. Probably 30 per node intersect. insane :)
If anyone has seen this before and can say what the likelihood that all/most of these will actually produce pods, I'd...
Welp.. a lot has happened since my last post. I bought a custom portable greenhouse I'm using as a high tunnel for the rest of the summer. I started building self-watering buckets but after about half way through I decided it was an insane amount of work for something that might not really be...
Hi folks. I'm getting pods now and seeing that many of them are untrue. Trin perfs looking like serranos for instance. I don't want to start in straight away by bashing a vendor. Fact is, I've followed one in particular for some time now and they are really great people. I presume they...
