I had to do something on that last year. I hated it more than any other assignment. At least the teacher isn't grading mine for quality. It's only worth anything at all because everyone tried to skip out on it. But hey, 100 points out of a quarterly 115 ish just for handing the thing in.
there is ungodly amounts written on this subject with respect to libertarian views of self determination, and persuit of happiness etc. if you are stuck, you might divert down that road. tho a lib professor my not like this.
Well you gotta give a reason. quee's idea is good but DEFINITELY wouldn't be liked by a liberal professor! What reason did you put that it should be legalized?
My reasoning is that if it's legal, it would reduce violence and keep people outta gangs. violecne is reduced because of trading in the open, so no need to be territorial, and less gangs are because if someone goes to prison on drug charges, then they need to hook up with a gang for safety and this leads to much worse crimes than a simple drug goof up. Besides, anyone reasonable won't smoke it anyway, so it's not a big deal.
I think that cocaine is fine, but heroine is just too dangerous, someone could try it once due to peer pressure, and not be able to stop.
What's there to talk about "anyone reasonable"? Just like how people who know cigarettes are dangerous won't touch them, those who know weed is won't either.
I don't know why you think anyone else's rights have to do with what you think of something based on your subjective opinion of its safety. I'm so unreasonable right now.
